it releases stress and endorfines
Walking, jogging, tennis, swimming, Zumba, snow boarding, climbing, or any form of cardiovascular or aerobic exercise will not only give you wonderful health benefits, but can also reduce the stress hormone called cortisol and increase the release of endorophins, adrenalin, serotonin and dopamine. These chemicals work together to produce a state of euphoria and a general state of well being. Another words, they make you feel good.
Yoga is also a good at recucing stress while improving the mood. It focuses on breathing and stretching and movement that realeses negative emotions in the body.
Physically active people recover from mild forms of depression more quickly and physical activity is strongly correlated with good mental health.
Even if you only exercise for a short period of time, your mood will be improved. Just ten minutes of moderate exercise is enough to improve your mood, your vigour and also decrease fatigue. However, to obtain all the benefits from exercise, not just the mood improving aspects, you should do at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise every day.
If you cannot get out and exercise or you don't have the money for a
gym membership, you can search youtube.com for free exercises or buy Walk at Home DVDfrom Amazon.

Regular health exams and tests can help find problems before they start. They also can help find problems early, when your chances for treatment and cure are better.
Which exams and screenings you need depends on your age, health and family history, and lifestyle choices such as what you eat, how active you are, and whether you smoke.
This is also a good time to discuss with your doctor any emotional issues you may be having (ie high amounts of daily stress, sleep disturbances, anxiety, depression, etc...) as you and your doctor together can find ways to best help YOU reach a balance.
